Information we collect

Information you give us

When you submit a case review form, call, or email us, we collect what you choose to provide. This can include:

  • Your name, phone number, and email address, and how you prefer to be contacted
  • Details about what happened, including the date, location, and the people or companies involved
  • Information about your injuries and medical treatment
  • Insurance information and whether you have spoken with an insurer or another attorney
  • Photos and documents you upload

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, the servers that host this site record basic technical information when a page is requested, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the date and time. We do not use this information to identify individual visitors.

This site does not use advertising cookies or analytics trackers. If that changes, we will update this policy.

How we use information

  • To review your situation and respond to your request
  • To contact you by phone, text message, or email about your inquiry
  • To check for conflicts of interest, as attorneys are required to do
  • To represent you, if you become a client
  • To keep this site secure and to filter spam
  • To comply with our legal and professional obligations

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with others for their own marketing.

Who we share information with

We share information only as needed to operate this site and our law practice:

  • Service providers that work on our behalf, including our website host and form processor (Netlify), our email provider, and our law practice management software. They may use the information only to provide services to us.
  • Google Fonts. This site loads its typefaces from Google. When your browser requests them, Google receives your IP address and basic browser information.
  • Others involved in your matter, such as insurers, medical providers, experts, co-counsel, or courts, if you become a client and it is needed for your representation.
  • When required by law, such as in response to a valid court order.

We do not allow third parties to collect information about your online activities over time and across different websites through this site, other than as described above.

Confidentiality and the attorney-client relationship

Submitting a form or contacting us does not create an attorney-client relationship. That relationship begins only when you and the firm sign a written agreement. We treat the information you send us about a possible case as confidential, consistent with the professional rules that apply to Nevada attorneys.

Email and web forms are not perfectly secure. Please do not send information you consider highly sensitive, such as a Social Security number or financial account numbers, through this site.

How long we keep information

We keep inquiry information for as long as needed to respond to you, to meet our professional record-keeping and conflict-checking obligations, and to protect our legal rights. Client files are kept according to the firm's file retention policy.

Your choices

  • Review or correct. You may ask to see the information you submitted through this site or ask us to correct it.
  • Delete. You may ask us to delete your inquiry information. We will do so unless we are required or permitted to keep it, for example to check for conflicts of interest.
  • Stop contact. You may ask us at any time to stop contacting you. If we text you, you can reply STOP.
  • Do not sell. We do not sell personal information. Nevada residents may still submit a request directing us not to sell their information, and we will honor it.

To make any of these requests, email contact@assuredlaw.com or call (702) 825-3747. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. A parent or guardian may contact us about an injury to a child.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the updated version on this page and change the effective date above.
